Comma, kumum or saffron is a kind of spice. Coma is one of the most expensive spices in the world where the price can reach thousands of dollars per second. The English word "saffron" is derived from the Arabic word za'faran, meaning yellow, a herb of the eloridaccesi group is one of the world's most expensive natural treasures. Herbs called 'Golden Desert' are also known as 'Spice King', 'Spice Queen', 'Vegatable Gold', and 'Flower of Love'. It is well-known for its nutrition and the power of its predecessors ever since. Hence, in addition to its ample color and fragrant smell it is widely used in nutrition, beauty and medicine. The term Bahasa Melayu that is coma is derived from the variation of Indik / Sanskrit languages ​​such as "kumkuma", "kuma-kuma", "kurkuma" or "kungkuma". Koma-koma, kumkum atau safron merupakan sejenis rempah. Koma-koma merupakan antara rempah yang termahal di dunia yang mana harganya boleh mencecah ribuan ringgit per sekilo. Perkataan pinjaman Inggeris "saffron" berasal dari perkataan Arab za'faran, bermaksud kuning, sejenis tumbuhan herba daripada kumpulan eloridaccesi adalah antara khazanah alam termahal di dunia. Herba yang digelar 'Emas Padang Pasir' juga dikenali sebagai 'Spice King', 'Spice Queen', 'Vegatable Gold', dan 'Flower of Love'. Ianya memang terkenal dengan khasiat serta kuasa pengubatnya sejak dari dulu lagi. Justeru itu disamping warnanya yang cukup menarik serta baunya yang harum maka ianya digunakan secara meluas dalam pemakanan, kecantikan dan perubatan. Istilah Bahasa Melayu iaitu koma-koma pula berasal dari variasi bahasa-bahasa Indik/Sanskrit seperti "kumkuma", "kuma-kuma", "kurkuma" atau "kungkuma". Sesetengah buku masakan menyebutnya sebagai "bunga kumkum" - satu kata pinjaman langsung dari Bahasa Bengali. Koma-koma berwarna kuning keemasan dan diambil dari sekuntum bunga yang berwarna ungu. Pokoknya berasal dari Timur Tengah, Greece, Turki, Iran dan Kashmir.
