WHAT DOES MAFIA MEAN IN MALAY?
Mafia
The Mafia, also known as La Cosa Nostra, is a collective call for several criminal organizations in Sicily and the United States. The Mafia was originally the name of an organization of people in Sicily in the Middle Ages for the purpose of protecting and implementing the law itself. Mafia groups spread their wings to the U.S. after the massacre of Italian people in the 20th century. The mafia movement is not only concentrated in Italy but also the United States where migrants are scattered across Europe to the United States which has brought the influence of the mafia there. They are much concentrated in the city where they collect money for protection and sell drugs to support and strengthen their oraganization. The power of the Mafia reached its peak in the US in the middle of the 20th century. Investigation by the FBI in the 1970s and 1980s reduced their influence. Mafia is not limited to the US alone, even Yakuza's group in Japan is also regarded as a mafia group by some.
