In geography, an oak is an isolated green area in a desert, usually surrounding a spring or similar water source. It also provides a habitat for animals and humans if the area is big enough. The location of o'ah has been of critical importance to the trade and transport routes in the desert regions. The tribes have to drive through the wahah so water and food supplies can be added. Hence, political or military control of an oath has in many ways meant trade control on a specific path. For example, Awjila, Ghadames and Kufra, located in Libya today, have been at various times important in trading in the North-South and East-West Saharan. The word wahah in Malay is borrowed from the Arabic language واحة waahah. Oats are formed from an underground river or aquifer such as a aquifer artesian, where water can reach the surface naturally by pressure or wells built by humans. Occasional brief thunderstorms provide subterranean water to sustain natural oases, such as the Tuat.

Dalam geografi, sebuah wahah adalah sebuah kawasan terpencil kehijauan di sebuah gurun, biasanya mengeliling sebuah mata air atau sumber air yang mirip. Wahah juga memberikan habitat untuk haiwan dan manusia jika kawasan itu cukup besar. Lokasi wahah telah menjadi kepentingan kritikal untuk jalan perdagangan dan angkutan di kawasan-kawasan gurun.
