Agronomist - farmer, specialist in agronomy, theoretical and practical agricultural sciences. In 1960, the Agricultural Advisory Service was organized in the People's Republic of Poland, which was subordinated to the national council. It was based on the agronomy of Gromadzki, whose tasks were: ▪ organizing the seed economy and realization of the seedlot plan, ▪ organizing the fight against diseases, pests and weeds, ▪ land development of the State Fund of the Earth, ▪ the activity of introducing rural progress in agricultural production . ▪ development plans based on the PRN Bureau's recommendations on plant protection and the need for plant protection products, ▪ organization of collective protection exercises, ▪ counseling on pest control. Agronomists were also officials responsible for allocating regulated funds for agricultural production and agricultural construction, dealing with mandatory supplies, supervising mandatory seed and seed potato seed exchanges.

Agronom – rolnik, specjalista w dziedzinie agronomii, teoretycznej i praktycznej nauki o gospodarstwie rolnym. W 1960 roku w PRL organizowano służbę doradztwa rolnego podporządkowaną gromadzkim radom narodowym. Oparta ona była o etat agronoma gromadzkiego, którego zadaniami było: ▪ organizowanie gospodarki nasiennej i realizacja gromadzkiego planu nasiennego, ▪ organizowanie walki z chorobami, szkodnikami i chwastami, ▪ zagospodarowanie gruntów Państwowego Funduszu Ziemi, ▪ działalność w zakresie wprowadzania na wieś postępu w produkcji rolnej. ▪ opracowywanie na podstawie wytycznych prezydium PRN planów gromadzkich w sprawie ochrony roślin i zapotrzebowania na środki ochrony roślin, ▪ organizowanie zbiorowego wykonywania zabiegów ochroniarskich, ▪ poradnictwo w zakresie zwalczania agrofagów. Agronomowi byli także urzędnikami odpowiedzialnymi za przydział reglamentowanych środków do produkcji rolnej i budownictwa rolniczego, zajmowali się rozliczaniem dostaw obowiązkowych, nadzorowali obowiązkowe wymiany materiału siewnego zbóż i sadzeniaków ziemniaków.
