Aretology - a philosophical discipline dealing with the study of efficiency, virtue and fault. Cardinal virtues: prudence, moderation, valor, justice. This is also the ethical view of the role of love and friendship in human life. A classic lecture on the theory of efficiency was given by Aristotle; Thomas Aquinas, and the concept of virtue in modern ethics has been revived by Scheler.
