municipium

Municypium

Municypium - in antiquity was an area located in Italy, conquered by Ancient Rome. The League had a covenant with Rome that enabled them to enjoy partial autonomy and tolerance, including religious, provided Rome had given specific military assistance and limited the rights of its inhabitants, such as the prohibition of voting and holding of offices. They were allowed, among other things. marriage with Roman citizens. In time, the municipality was transformed into a municipality, then by Gaius Julius Caesar in the cities under Roman law, and their inhabitants gained full civil rights of Rome. Today, the term municypium is defined as limited civil rights in the Middle Ages and early epoch, especially in cities under German law. Munitions are also units of modern territorial division in some European countries. Dozwolone były m.in. małżeństwa z obywatelami rzymskimi.
