protoplast

Protoplast

Protoplast - a metabolically active part of a bacterial cell, a fungus or a plant, a part of a cell without a cell wall. Protoplasts artificially obtained by cell wall digestion with enzymes have a spherical or similar shape and remain viable and form an important object of cytological investigation. Protoplasts are capable of regenerating the cell wall and fusion, but are able to form somatic hybrids between non-related species. Protoplast contains, among others. The following ingredients: ▪ cytosol ▪ cytoskeleton ▪ centrifuges ▪ ribosomes ▪ nucleus ▪ GERL system ▪ microbial ▪ mitochondria ▪ nucleus ▪ plastics ... Protoplast – aktywna metabolicznie część komórki bakterii, grzyba lub rośliny, czyli część komórki bez ściany komórkowej. Protoplasty sztucznie uzyskiwane w wyniku trawienia ściany komórkowej enzymami mają kształt kulisty lub zbliżony i pozostają zdolne do życia i stanowią ważny obiekt badań cytologicznych. Protoplasty są zdolne do regeneracji ściany komórkowej i fuzji, przy czym są w stanie tworzyć mieszańce somatyczne między gatunkami niespokrewnionymi. Protoplast zawiera m.in. następujące składniki: ▪ cytozol ▪ cytoszkielet ▪ centriole ▪ rybosomy ▪ jąderko ▪ system GERL ▪ mikrociałka ▪ mitochondrium ▪ jądro ▪ plastydy...
