Anamniota is the name given to animal vertebrate zoology whose embryo develops without membrane involving amnion. Vertebrates Hummingbirds are fish and amphibians, all other vertebrates, they do develop this membrane, are amniotes. Absence of amnion is considered the ancestral condition in vertebrates, so the term has no taxonomic and phylogenetic meaning.
