WHAT DOES ASMA MEAN IN PORTUGUESE?

Asthma

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways. When inflamed airways are exposed to various stimuli or triggering factors they become hyperreative and obstructed, limiting airflow through bronchoconstriction, mucus production and increased inflammation. Among the most common symptoms are recurrent wheezing, coughing with nocturnal aggravation, tightness in the chest and recurrent respiratory distress. It is thought that asthma originates from a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Among the most common triggering factors are allergens, such as house dust mites, cockroaches, pollen, animal and fungus hair, and various environmental factors, such as active and passive tobacco smoke, air pollution, chemical irritants, and certain physical exercise. drugs such as aspirin. Asthma can be difficult to diagnose. Some of the symptoms of asthma, such as acute dyspnoea, chest tightness and wheezing, can be triggered by other diseases.
