Tongas

Tongas are a Bantu people living along the upper reaches of the Zambezi River in Zambia. It is a people of matrilineal affiliation that bases its subsistence in the agriculture and the fishing. In the past, it was part of the kingdom of Barotse or Rotse. Tongas são um povo banto que vive junto ao curso superior do rio Zambeze, na Zâmbia. É um povo de filiação matrilinear que baseia a sua subsistência na agricultura e na pesca. No passado, fez parte do reino de Barotse ou Rotse.
