Der. chimiță, s. m. (diavol; bufon, caraghios), care pare a fi un
dim. de la cuvîntul anterior (Bogrea și DAR îl explică prin numele unui personaj popular în trecut datorită șotiilor sale; nu este însă posibil să se aplice diavolului numele unui personaj real, și nici nu s-ar explica prin alte mijloace apelativul
