General

General, the title given to high-ranking officers who came after the albatross forces in the land and air force and were up to the marshal. It is a balanced "admiral" in the Navy. When addressing, only the lieutenant general and the orgenerals are referred to as "General", but brigadier and general-rank officers are directly referred to by this rank. General rank is as follows: ▪ Brigadier General: Brigade Commander ▪ Major General: Division Command ▪ Lieutenant General: Corps Commander ▪ Gen.: Army Commander ▪ Marshall: title given to generals who won three wars as Army Commander. However, not only is it a Brigadial Brigade Commander, nor is it a Major General's Division Commander, because of his assignments to administrative functions, as well as his military duties. For example, there is no division affiliated to a Major General who is in charge of the Office of the Chief of Communications of the Chief of Staff.

General, kara ve hava kuvvetlerinde albaydan sonra gelen ve mareşale kadar olan yüksek rütbeli subaylara verilen unvan. Deniz Kuvvetleri'ndeki dengi "amiral"dir. Hitap ederken yalnızca korgeneral ve orgenerale "General" denilmekle birlikte, tuğgeneral ve tümgeneral rütbeli subaylar, doğrudan bu rütbeleriyle anılırlar. General rütbeleri sırasıyla şöyledir: ▪ Tuğgeneral: Tugay Komutanı ▪ Tümgeneral: Tümen Komutanı ▪ Korgeneral: Kolordu Komutanı ▪ Orgeneral: Ordu Komutanı ▪ Mareşal: Ordu Komutanı olarak üç savaş kazanmış generallere verilen unvan. Ancak askerî görevlerin yanı sıra idarî görevlere yapılan atamalar nedeniyle her Tuğgeneral bir Tugay Komutanı veya her Tümgeneral bir Tümen Komutanı değildir. Örneğin Genelkurmay Başkanlığı'nın İletişim Dairesi Başkanlığı görevini yürüten bir Tümgeneral'e bağlı bir tümen yoktur.
