Tirsen
Tirsena, Tursha (Ancient Egyptian Tw-ry-s (Teresh)) - an ancient people who participated in the invasion of the peoples of the sea. Tirseny mentioned among other tribes in the Great Carnak inscription describing the invasion of the peoples of the sea for the fifth year of the reign of Pharaoh Merneptah (approximately 1207 BC). According to the inscription in the battle, they killed 742, while the total loss of the peoples of the sea amounted to about ten thousand. There is a picture of the captive leader of the people of Teresh and on the reliefs of Medinet Abu. In the grave number 23 of the so-called Gabon Archaeologists, Flinders Petri found an An-en-Tursa mummy, who was a butler at the court of Ramses III.
