Rice is one of the most important food crops of mankind, including rice and lemma. In China, commonly known as rice, rice farming and edible history are quite long. The cultivation of rice originated in the settlement area of the middle reaches of the Pearl River in the south of China in 8200 BC, and the archaeological discoveries were in Hunan, China before 8200 BC. In 1993, the Sino-US joint archaeological team in the county of jade toad rock found the world's first ancient cultivated rice, about 8200 years ago. Rice is widely planted in mainland China, gradually spread west to India, the Middle Ages into southern Europe.
