Femur
The femur is the longest and thickest bone of the human body. The femur is located in the lower limbs (or hind limbs) of the limbs. The femur is bent above, with a femur head (caput femoris), nearly rounded, with articular surfaces forming a hip joint with the pelvis. The curved part is called the Collum femoris. This curved connection can effectively reduce the impact of the outside world on the pelvis, the femoral neck is like a buffer. Relative to the femoral head has a bone protrusion, known as the big rotor (Trochanter major). It is the gluteus maximus, gluteus muscle and gluteus minor muscle attachment point. On the inside of a small rotor (Trochanter minor), it is iliac muscle and psoas muscle attachment point. Some mammals, such as horses and rabbits, have a third rotor (Trochanter tertius). The femoral body (Corpus ossis femoris) is the attachment point of many adductor muscles. The lower part of the femur has two articular uplift, called medial condylar and lateral condylar (Condylus medialis and Condylus lateralis), forming part of the knee joint. The tibial condyle Condyli tibiae is connected to the tibia. ...
