Pánico

El pánico es una repentina sensación de miedo que es tan fuerte como para dominar o prevenir la razón y el pensamiento lógico, reemplazándolo con sentimientos abrumadores de ansiedad y agitación frenética consistente con una reacción animal de lucha o huida. El pánico puede ocurrir singularmente en individuos o manifestarse de repente en grandes grupos como el pánico en masa. La palabra pánico se deriva del griego πανικός, "perteneciente al pastor dios Pan", que se tomó la diversión de los rebaños de cabras y ovejas aterrorizantes en ráfagas repentinas de miedo incontrolable. Los antiguos griegos atribuyeron la batalla de la victoria de Maratón a Pan, usando su nombre para el miedo frenético y frenético exhibido por los soldados enemigos que huían.
