Tokenismo
El tokenismo es la política o práctica de hacer un gesto superficial hacia la inclusión de miembros de grupos minoritarios. Este esfuerzo simbólico suele estar destinado a crear una apariencia de inclusión y desviar las acusaciones de discriminación. Ejemplos típicos incluyen la contratación intencional de una persona no blanca en una ocupación principalmente blanca o una mujer en una ocupación tradicionalmente masculina. Clásicamente, los personajes simbólicos tienen alguna capacidad reducida en comparación con los otros personajes y pueden tener personalidades suaves o inofensivas para no ser acusados de estereotipar rasgos negativos. Todo lo que has conseguido es un simbolismo: uno o dos negros en un trabajo o en un mostrador de almuerzo para que el resto esté tranquilo.
