QUÉ SIGNIFICA VERB PHRASE EN INGLÉS
Frase verbal
En lingüística, una frase verbal o VP es una unidad sintáctica compuesta de al menos un verbo y sus dependientes-objetos, complementos y otros modificadores-pero no siempre incluye el sujeto. Así, en la frase Un hombre gordo poner las joyas rápidamente en la caja, las palabras poner las joyas rápidamente en la caja es una frase verbal; Consiste en el verbo poner y sus dependientes, pero no el sujeto un hombre gordo. Una frase verbal es similar a lo que se considera un predicado en gramáticas más tradicionales. Las frases verbales generalmente se dividen en dos tipos: finito, cuya cabeza de la frase es un verbo finito; Y no finito, donde la cabeza es un verbo no finito, tal como un infinitivo, participio o gerundio. Las gramáticas de estructura de frases reconocen ambos tipos, pero las gramáticas de dependencia tratan al sujeto como un dependiente verbal y no reconocen el constituyente verbal finito. En este sentido, la comprensión de las frases verbales puede depender de qué teoría se obtiene.
