Palabra
En lingüística, una palabra es el elemento más pequeño que puede expresarse de forma aislada con contenido semántico o pragmático. Esto contrasta con un morfema, que es la unidad más pequeña de significado, pero que no necesariamente permanecerá por sí solo. Una palabra puede consistir en un solo morfema, o varios, mientras que un morfema puede no ser capaz de mantenerse por sí solo como una palabra. Una palabra compleja incluirá típicamente una raíz y uno o más afijos, o más de una raíz en un compuesto. Las palabras se pueden juntar para construir elementos más grandes del lenguaje, tales como frases, cláusulas y oraciones.
