Yurt
Una yurta es una estructura de vivienda portátil y doblada tradicionalmente utilizada por los nómadas en las estepas de Asia Central como su hogar. La estructura comprende una corona o rueda de compresión, usualmente doblada por vapor, soportada por nervaduras de tejado que están dobladas hacia abajo en el extremo donde se encuentran con la pared de celosía. Se evita que la parte superior de la pared se extienda por medio de una banda de tensión que se opone a la fuerza de las nervaduras del tejado. La estructura se cubre generalmente por capas de tejido y lana de oveja de fieltro para el aislamiento y la impermeabilidad.
