Aliasing
Dans le traitement du signal et dans les disciplines connexes, l'aliasing est un effet qui fait que différents signaux deviennent indiscernables lorsqu'ils sont échantillonnés. Il se réfère également à la distorsion ou à l'artefact qui résulte lorsque le signal reconstruit à partir d'échantillons est différent du signal continu d'origine. L'aliasing peut se produire dans les signaux échantillonnés dans le temps, par exemple l'audio numérique, et est appelé aliasing temporel. L'aliasing peut également se produire dans des signaux échantillonnés spatialement, par exemple des images numériques. L'aliasing dans les signaux échantillonnés spatialement s'appelle l'aliasing spatial.
