Bhoutan
Le Bhoutan, officiellement le Royaume du Bhoutan, est un pays enclavé en Asie du Sud situé à l'extrémité orientale de l'Himalaya. Il est bordé au nord par la Chine et au sud, à l'est et à l'ouest par l'Inde. À l'ouest, il est séparé du Népal par l'état indien de Sikkim, tandis que le sud est séparé du Bangladesh par les états indiens d'Assam et du Bengale occidental. La capitale du Bhoutan et la plus grande ville est Thimphu. Le Bhoutan existait comme un patchwork de fiançailles mineures en guerre jusqu'au début du 17ème siècle, lorsque le lama et le chef militaire Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, fuyant la persécution religieuse au Tibet, ont unifié la région et cultivé une identité Bhoutanaise distincte. Plus tard, au début du 20e siècle, le Bhoutan est entré en contact avec l'Empire britannique et a maintenu de fortes relations bilatérales avec l'Inde sur son indépendance. En 2006, basé sur un sondage global, Business Week a évalué le Bhoutan le pays le plus heureux d'Asie et le huitième, le plus heureux au monde. Le paysage du Bhoutan s'étend des plages subtropicales dans le sud aux hauteurs alpines de l'Himalaya au nord, où certains pics dépassent 7 000 mètres.
