Un pardon est le pardon d'un crime et l'annulation de la sanction pertinente; Il est généralement accordé par un chef d'état ou par des actes d'un parlement ou d'une autorité religieuse. Dans certaines juridictions, accepter une telle grâce implique implicitement une admission de culpabilité, alors, dans certains cas, l'offre est refusée.
