Hidebound est un film d'animation de 2005 qui raconte Aron, un jeune homme qui s'inquiète des communications et de la situation humaine dans la société d'aujourd'hui. Il décide de mener une expérience et observe les réactions d'autres personnes. Grâce à cette expérience unique ou à des observations, nous rencontrons plusieurs personnages qui nous racontent une histoire différente de la façon dont les gens répondent à une nouvelle expérience et à leur comportement sous pression. La façon dont Hidebound est faite reflète exactement cette façon expérimentale. Le film a été tourné pour la première fois sur DV où, après l'édition, les cadres ont été imprimés. Au cours des foires et des festivals à Reykjavík, en Islande, les membres du grand public ont offert de contribuer à la réalisation du film en traçant leur propre style aux personnes issues de ces imprimés. Plus de 1,350 personnes ont contribué avec plus de 16 000 traces et dessins scannés et utilisés dans l'animation du film. Des fondations et d'autres animations ont été créées par une équipe de jeunes artistes à Reykjavík, dirigée par les réalisateurs et créateurs de ce projet, Guðmundur Arnar et Þórgnýr Thoroddsen. Hidebound est leur premier film animé.
