L'instinct ou le comportement inné est l'inclination inhérente d'un organisme vivant à un comportement complexe particulier. L'exemple le plus simple d'un comportement instinctif est un modèle d'action fixe, dans lequel une séquence d'actions de courte et moyenne longueur, sans variation, est réalisée en réponse à un stimulus clairement défini.
