En psychologie, la mémoire est le processus dans lequel l'information est encodée, stockée et récupérée. L'encodage permet aux informations provenant du monde extérieur d'atteindre nos sens sous forme de stimuli chimique et physique. Dans cette première étape, nous devons modifier l'information afin que nous puissions mettre la mémoire dans le processus de codage. Le stockage est le deuxième stade de la mémoire ou le processus. Cela implique que nous conservons l'information sur des périodes de temps. Enfin, le troisième processus est la récupération des informations que nous avons stockées.
