Ensemble partiellement ordonné
En mathématiques, en particulier la théorie des ordres, un ensemble partiellement formalisé formalise et généralise le concept intuitif d'un ordre, d'un séquençage ou d'un arrangement des éléments d'un ensemble. Un poset consiste en un ensemble avec une relation binaire qui indique que, pour certaines paires d'éléments dans l'ensemble, l'un des éléments précède l'autre. Une telle relation est appelée un ordre partiel pour refléter le fait que tous les éléments ne doivent pas être liés: pour certaines paires, il se peut que l'un ou l'autre élément ne précède l'autre dans le poste. Ainsi, les commandes partielles génèrent les commandes totales les plus familières, dans lesquelles chaque couple est lié. Un poset fini peut être visualisé à travers son diagramme de Hasse, qui représente la relation de commande. Un exemple familier de la vie réelle d'un ensemble partiellement ordonné est une collection de personnes ordonnées par la descendance généalogique. Certaines paires de personnes portent la relation descendante-ancêtre, mais d'autres paires ne comportent pas de telles relations.
