QUE SIGNIFIE POSITION ANGLE EN ANGLAIS
Angle de position
L'angle de position, habituellement abrégé PA, est une mesure dérivée de l'observation d'étoiles binaires visuelles. Il est défini comme le décalage angulaire en degrés de l'étoile secondaire au primaire, par rapport au pôle céleste nord. Comme l'illustre l'exemple, si l'on observait une étoile binaire hypothétique avec un PA de 135 degrés, cela signifie qu'une ligne imaginaire dans l'oculaire tirée du pôle céleste nord au primaire serait décalée du secondaire de sorte que l'angle NCP-PS Serait de 135 degrés. Lors de la représentation graphique des orbites binaires visuelles, la ligne NCP est traditionnellement dessinée vers le bas, c'est-à-dire vers le nord au fond, et la PA est mesurée dans le sens antihoraire, de 0 à 359 degrés. De même, l'angle de mouvement approprié est parfois appelé angle de position. La définition de l'angle de position est également étendue pour s'appliquer à des objets étendus comme des galaxies, où il se réfère à l'angle de l'axe majeur de l'objet avec la ligne NCP.
