Pré-écho
Pre-echo est un artefact de compression audio numérique où un son est entendu avant qu'il ne se produise. Il est plus visible dans les sons impulsifs des instruments à percussion tels que les castagnettes ou les cymbales. Il se produit dans des algorithmes de compression audio basés sur la transformation - généralement basés sur la transformation de cosinus discrète modifiée - tels que MP3, MPEG-4 AAC et Vorbis, et est due au bruit de quantification réparti sur l'ensemble de la fenêtre de transformation du codec.
