Pile (type de données abstraites)
En informatique, une pile est un type particulier de type ou de collection de données abstraites dans lequel les principales opérations sur la collection sont l'addition d'une entité à la collection, connue sous le nom de push et de suppression d'une entité, appelée pop. La relation entre les opérations push et pop est telle que la pile est une structure de données Last-In-First-Out. Dans une structure de données LIFO, le dernier élément ajouté à la structure doit être le premier à être supprimé. Cela équivaut à l'exigence que, considérée comme une structure de données linéaire, ou plus abstraitement une collection séquentielle, les opérations push et pop se produisent uniquement à une extrémité de la structure, appelée le haut de la pile. Souvent, un poteau ou une opération supérieure est également implémenté, renvoyant la valeur de l'élément supérieur sans le supprimer. Une pile peut être implémentée pour avoir une capacité bornée. Si la pile est pleine et ne contient pas assez d'espace pour accepter une entité à pousser, la pile est alors considérée comme dépollution. L'opération pop supprime un élément du haut de la pile.
