Radicule
En botanique, la radicule est la première partie d'un plant qui sort de la semence lors du processus de germination. La radicule est la racine embryonnaire de la plante et se développe vers le bas dans le sol. Au-dessus de la radicule se trouve la tige embryonnaire ou l'hypocotyle, soutenant le cotylédon. C'est la racine embryonnaire à l'intérieur de la graine. C'est la première chose à sortir d'une semence et descendre dans le sol pour permettre à la semence d'aspirer de l'eau et d'envoyer ses feuilles afin qu'elle puisse commencer la photosynthèse. La radicule émerge d'une graine à travers le micropyle. Les radicules dans les semis sont classés en deux types principaux. Ceux qui sont éloignés de la cicatrice du manteau de semence ou de l'hilum sont classés comme antitrustes, et ceux qui se tournent vers le hile sont synergiques. Si la radicale commence à se désintégrer, le semis subit une amortissement avant l'émergence. Cette maladie apparaît sur la radicule comme des taches sombres. Finalement, il provoque la mort du semis. Le plumule est le shoot du bébé. Il se développe après la radicule. En 1880, Charles Darwin a publié un livre sur les plantes qu'il avait étudiées, The Power of Movement in Plants, où il mentionne la radicule.
