Le mythe de la coucou (Dolchstoßlegende (help · info)) est la notion, largement reconnue dans les cercles de droite en Allemagne après 1918, selon laquelle l'armée allemande n'a pas perdu la Première Guerre mondiale mais a été trahie par les civils Sur le front de la maison, en particulier les républicains qui ont renversé la monarchie. Les avocats ont dénoncé les dirigeants du gouvernement allemand qui ont signé l'armistice le 11 novembre 1918, en tant que «Criminels de novembre» (allemand: Novemberverbrecher). Lorsque les nazis sont arrivés au pouvoir en 1933, ils ont fait de la légende une partie intégrante de leur histoire officielle des années 1920, en décrivant la République de Weimar comme le travail des «criminels de novembre» qui ont utilisé la coucou dans le dos pour prendre le pouvoir tout en trahissant la nation .
