Économie de subsistance

La "subsistance" redirige ici. Pour la doctrine ecclésiologique catholique de Vatican II, voir "Subsistit in". Une économie de subsistance est une économie non monétaire qui repose sur les ressources naturelles pour répondre aux besoins fondamentaux, grâce à la chasse, à la collecte et à l'agriculture de subsistance. La «subsistance» signifie s'entendre à un niveau minimum; Dans une économie de subsistance, l'excédent économique est minimal et n'est utilisé que pour le commerce des biens de base, et il n'y a pas d'industrialisation. Dans l'histoire du monde, avant les premières villes, tous les humains vivaient dans une économie de subsistance. Au fur et à mesure que l'urbanisation, la civilisation et la division du travail se propagent, diverses sociétés se sont déplacées vers d'autres systèmes économiques à différents moments. Certains restent relativement inchangés, allant des peuples isolés, aux régions pauvres des pays en développement, à certaines cultures qui choisissent de conserver une économie traditionnelle. Le capital peut généralement être défini comme des actifs investis dans l'attente que leur valeur augmente, généralement parce qu'il y a l'attente de profits, de loyers, d'intérêts, de redevances, de gains en capital ou d'un autre type de rendement.
