Le poids de Troy est un système d'unités de masse habituellement utilisé pour les métaux précieux et les pierres précieuses. Il y a 12 onces troy par poule troy, plutôt que les 16 onces par livre trouvées dans le système d'avoirdupois plus fréquent. L'once troy est de 480 grains, par rapport à l'once de l'avoirdupois, soit 437½ grains. Les deux systèmes utilisent le même grain défini par l'accord international de cour et de livre de 1959 comme exactement 0,06479891 gramme. Bien que les onces troy soient encore utilisées pour peser de l'or, de l'argent et des pierres précieuses, le poids troïde n'est plus utilisé dans la plupart des autres applications.
