Un vassal ou un feudatoire est une personne qui a entré dans une obligation mutuelle envers un seigneur ou un monarque dans le contexte du système féodal en Europe médiévale. Les obligations comprenaient souvent le soutien militaire et la protection mutuelle, en échange de certains privilèges, y compris habituellement la concession de terres détenues comme fief.
