BIOS

BIOS - un ensemble de routines de base entre le système d'exploitation et le matériel stocké dans la mémoire. Il possède sa propre mémoire de configuration, qui contient des informations sur la date, l'heure et les données sur tous les périphériques installés sur notre ordinateur. C'est un programme écrit dans la ROM de la carte mère et d'autres cartes d'extension telles que la carte graphique. Le BIOS IBM original forme une distinction dans le langage de programmation ROM Basic. Depuis le milieu des années 1990, la plupart des BIOS ont été placés dans la mémoire flash, ce qui leur permet d'être mis à jour plus tard.

Jest to program zapisany w pamięci ROM płyty głównej oraz innych kart rozszerzeń takich jak np. karta graficzna. Oryginalny BIOS formy IBM wyróżnia zawarcie w nim języka programowania ROM Basic. Od połowy lat 90. XX w. większości BIOS-ów umieszcza się w pamięciach typu flash, co umożliwia ich późniejszą aktualizację.
