Discorso

Il discorso indica comunicazioni scritte e parlate come: ▪ nella semantica e nell'analisi del discorso: una generalizzazione del concetto di conversazione in tutte le modalità e nei contesti. ▪ La totalità del linguaggio codificato utilizzato in un determinato campo dell'inchiesta intellettuale e della pratica sociale, come il discorso legale, il discorso medico, il discorso religioso, et cetera. ▪ Nel lavoro di Michel Foucault e quello dei teorici sociali che ha ispirato: il discorso descrive "un'entità di sequenze, di segni, in quanto sono appuntamenti". Un appello non è un'unità di segni semiotici, ma un costrutto astratto che consente ai segni di assegnare e comunicare relazioni specifiche e ripetibili tra e tra oggetti, soggetti e dichiarazioni. Quindi, un discorso è composto da sequenze semiotiche tra e fra oggetti, soggetti e dichiarazioni. Il termine formazione discorsiva descrive concettualmente le comunicazioni regolari che producono tali discorsi. Come filosofo, Foucault applicò la formazione discorsiva nelle analisi di grandi corpi di conoscenza, come l'economia politica e la storia naturale.
