Fetlock è il nome comune dei giunti articolari metacarpophalangeal e metatarsophalangeal di cavalli, grandi animali e talvolta cani. È formato dalla giunzione delle terze ossa metacarpa o metatarsali proximata e la falange prossimale è distorta. Le ossa sesamoide prossimali articolano con la superficie distale palmare o plantare delle terze ossa metacarpa o metatarsali e sono fissate rigidamente al bordo proximo-palmare / plantare della falange prossimale. Il feto è un giunto a cerniera, che consente la flessione e l'estensione, ma la rotazione minima, l'addizione o il rapimento. Mentre talvolta il fetlock viene chiamato colloquiale come una "caviglia", anche da esperti di cavalli, che la terminologia non è corretta. Il fetlock in realtà è un giunto metacarpophalangeal che corrisponde al manico superiore umano, come quello sulla palla del piede.
