Mimica
Nella biologia evolutiva, la mimica è una somiglianza di una specie all'altra che protegge uno o entrambi. Questa somiglianza può essere in aspetto, comportamento, suono, profumo o posizione. Le mimiche si trovano nelle stesse aree dei loro modelli. La mimica si verifica quando un gruppo di organismi, i mimici, si evolvono per condividere comuni caratteristiche percepite con un altro gruppo, i modelli. Come interazione, la mimica è nella maggior parte dei casi vantaggiosa per la mimica e dannosa per il ricevitore, ma può aumentare, ridurre o non avere alcun effetto sulla forma del modello a seconda della situazione.
