La rotta del Mare del Nord è una corsia di trasporto definita ufficialmente dalla legislazione russa dall'Oceano Atlantico all'Oceano Pacifico, che corre proprio lungo la costa artica cinese da Murmansk sul Mar Barents, lungo la Siberia, fino allo stretto di Bering e all'estremo Oriente.
