Definizione Ostensive
Una definizione ostensive trasmette il significato di un termine indicando esempi. Questo tipo di definizione viene spesso utilizzato quando il termine è difficile da definire verbalmente, sia perché le parole non verranno intese né a causa della natura del termine. Di solito è accompagnato da un gesto che indica l'oggetto che serve come esempio, e per questo motivo è anche spesso indicato come "definizione indicando". Le definizioni ostensive si basano su un ragionamento analogico o caso-base da parte del soggetto cui si intende. Ad esempio, definire "rosso" indicando oggetti rossi - mele, fermare segni, rose - sta dando una definizione ostensiva, come è la denominazione. La definizione ostensi assume che l'interrogatore ha una comprensione sufficiente per riconoscere il tipo di informazione che viene data. Ludwig Wittgenstein scrive: Quindi si potrebbe dire: la definizione ostensive spiega l'uso - il significato della parola quando il ruolo complessivo della parola in lingua è chiaro. Quindi, se so che qualcuno vuol dire spiegare a me una parola di colore, la definizione ostensive: "Si chiama seppia" "mi aiuterà a comprendere la parola .... Uno deve già conoscere qualcosa per essere in grado di chiedere Nome di una cosa.
