Fábula
Fable é um gênero literário. Uma fábula é uma história de ficção sucinta, em prosa ou verso, que apresenta animais, criaturas míticas, plantas, objetos inanimados ou forças da natureza que são antropomorfizados e que ilustram ou conduzem a uma interpretação de uma lição moral que pode no final seja adicionado explicitamente em uma máxima pitida. Uma fábula difere de uma parábola na medida em que esta exclui animais, plantas, objetos inanimados e forças da natureza como atores que assumem a fala e outros poderes da humanidade. O uso nem sempre foi tão claramente distinto. Na versão King James do Novo Testamento, o "μῦθος" foi traduzido pelos tradutores como "fábula" no Primeiro e Segundo Timóteo, em Titus e em Primeiro Pedro. Uma pessoa que escreve fábulas é uma fabulista.
