Fetlock é o nome comum para as articulações metacarpofalângales e metatarsofalángicas de cavalos, animais grandes e às vezes cachorros. É formado pela junção do terceiro metacarpiano ou os ossos metatarsianos proximad e a falange proximal distorcida. Os ossos sesamóides proximais articulados articulam-se com a superfície distal palmar ou plantar dos terceiros ossos metacarpianos ou metatarsianos e são fixados rigidamente ao limite proximo-palmar / -plantar da falange proximal. O fetlock é uma articulação articulada, permitindo flexão e extensão, mas mínima rotação, adução ou abdução. Enquanto às vezes o fetlock é conhecido como um "tornozelo", mesmo por especialistas em cavalos, essa terminologia não está correta. O fetlock é, na verdade, uma articulação metacarpoftalangal que corresponde à articulação superior humana, como a da bola do pé.
