O guimpe era uma peça de vestuário que se desenvolveu na Europa Ocidental medieval. Era um pano de linho, muitas vezes engomado, que cobria o pescoço e ombros do portador, às vezes também o baú inteiro. Foi usado como parte da roupa de uma mulher de meios, tanto para mostrar a posição social - devido à manutenção adicional que requeria, como para demonstrar a sensação de modéstia da mulher.
