Um casco, cascos plurais ou cascos / hʊfs /, é a ponta de um dedo do pé de um mamífero ungulado, reforçado por uma cobertura grossa, córnea e queratina. O casco consiste em uma sola rígida ou emborrachada e uma parede dura formada por uma unha grossa enrolada em torno da ponta do dedo. O peso do animal é normalmente suportado tanto pela sola quanto pela borda da parede do casco. Os cascos crescem continuamente e são constantemente desgastados pelo uso. A maioria dos ungulados com dedos neutros tem dois cascos principais em cada pé, juntos chamados de casco fofo. A maioria desses animais de cascos fofos também tem dois cascos menores, chamados de infertilhões um pouco mais acima da perna - estes normalmente não são usados para caminhar, mas em algumas espécies com espinhas maiores podem tocar o chão ao correr ou saltar, ou se o solo é suave. Outros animais de cascos não possuem anestesiados.
