Na teoria da probabilidade, a distribuição normal é uma distribuição de probabilidade contínua que ocorre muito comummente - uma função que diz a probabilidade de qualquer observação real cair entre dois limites reais ou números reais, à medida que a curva se aproxima de zero em ambos os lados.
