Movimento browniano ou pedesa é o movimento aleatório de partículas suspensas em um fluido resultante da colisão com átomos ou moléculas rápidas no gás ou líquido. O termo "movimento browniano" também pode se referir ao modelo matemático usado para descrever tais movimentos aleatórios, que geralmente é chamado de teoria das partículas. Este fenômeno de transporte tem o nome do botânico Robert Brown.
