Exithema subitum
Exanthema subitum, também referido como roseola infantum, sexta doença e sarampo do bebê, ou fiebre de três dias, é uma doença de crianças, geralmente com menos de dois anos de idade, embora tenha sido conhecido por terem idade de dezoito anos, cujo As manifestações geralmente são limitadas a uma erupção transitória que ocorre após uma febre de cerca de três dias de duração. É causada por dois vírus herpes humanos, HHV-6 e HHV-7, que às vezes são referidos coletivamente como Roseolovírus. Existem duas variantes de HHV-6 e estudos nos EUA, Europa, Dubai e Japão mostraram que o exithema subitum é causado por HHV-6b. Esta forma de HHV-6 infecta mais de 90% dos lactentes até a idade 2.
