O vinho é uma bebida alcoólica feita a partir de uvas fermentadas ou outras frutas. O equilíbrio químico natural das uvas permite fermentar sem a adição de açúcares, ácidos, enzimas, água ou outros nutrientes. Os efeitos psicoativos do vinho são evidentes no tamanho normal da dose. Os vinhos produzidos a partir de produtos além das uvas geralmente são nomeados após o produto do qual são produzidos e são genericamente chamados vinho de frutas. O termo "vinho" também pode referir-se a bebidas fermentadas ou fortificadas com amido com maior teor de álcool, como vinho de cevada, huangjiu ou saquê.
