Tabun - Nome comercial do dimetilamidocyanidofosfato de etilo, um composto químico organofosfórico usado principalmente como agente de intoxicação por varfarina da série G. De acordo com a Resolução 687 da ONU, foi classificada como uma arma de destruição em massa. A sua produção está sob controle rigoroso e armazenamento proibido pela Convenção sobre Armas Químicas. Tabun também é conhecido como gelan, trylon-83 e GA. O GA foi usado pelos alemães durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. G era curto para um grupo de agentes convulsivos paralisantes, incluindo sarin, soman e ciclosarin. A característica comum de todos os agentes venenosos de G é sua cor marrom e o fato de serem líquidos facilmente voláteis à temperatura ambiente. Tabun depois de dispersá-lo sob a forma de um aerossol no ar, como de um avião, desce rapidamente para baixo, e os vapores resultantes emanam nas cavidades no chão. Zgodnie z rezolucją ONZ nr 687 został zaklasyfikowany jako broń masowego rażenia. Jego produkcja jest pod ścisłą kontrolą, a składowanie zakazane w myśl Konwencji o zakazie broni chemicznej. Tabun znany jest także jako gelan, trylon-83 oraz GA. Oznaczenie GA było stosowane przez Niemców w czasie II wojny światowej. G – było skrótem grupy środków paralityczno-drgawkowych do których zaliczano m.in: sarin, soman i cyklosarin. Wspólną cechą wszystkich bojowych środków trujących z grupy G jest ich brązowa barwa oraz to, że są one w temperaturze pokojowej łatwo lotnymi cieczami. Tabun po rozproszeniu go w formie aerozolu w powietrzu, np. z samolotu, opada szybko na dół, a powstające opary "ścielą" się, zalegając w zagłębieniach w ziemi. Wdychany poraża szybko układ nerwowy człowieka, co objawia się najpierw gwałtownymi drgawkami całego ciała i prowadzić może do zgonu. Stężenie śmiertelne wynosi dla ludzi 150 mg/m3.
